Does my company qualify for negotiated air rates?
Large companies or companies with high air travel volume may qualify for negotiated rate programs or a corporate sales agreement with individual air carriers.
Some qualification points that may apply:
- When your company's employees travel the same routes (or city pairs) in very high air volumes at levels of $300K to $400K. This is especially true for international routes.
- If your total air spend typically meets or exceeds $1M yearly.
- When you qualify for negotiated airline rates, you will likely no longer qualify for small- to mid-size company travel reward programs (e.g. Northwest/KLM BizPerks, United Airlines Perks Plus)
