Highlights for Travelers

Expedia Corporate Travel's Winter 2007 enhancements focus on providing more choices and greater control for you and company's travel program.  Below we've highlighted the features important to travelers.


Enhanced Seat Display and Upgrades

There are several improvements to the Expedia Corporate Travel seat display and seat upgrade process on select carriers, making booking flights easy and fast. The new seat map display is simple to use, and better seats and upgrades are automatically selected for travelers as they become available.


Improved Flight Search and Booking

We enhanced our sold-out flight display with broader coverage so travelers can feel confident that they're seeing all available inventory and options.

Configurable by traveler group, travelers can now also select a specific booking class for each segment of their flight to help them purchase the flight combination that's the best choice for their trip dynamic. Corporate travel policy will still apply. In addition, the user interface for flight search has been refreshed to help travelers quickly evaluate flight options. And once the trip is planned, travelers will enjoy an updated itinerary design focused on showcasing all the information a traveler needs for a successful trip.


Online Schedule Change Confirmation

Travelers have the ability to accept airline-driven schedule changes online, which will eliminate a common need to call an agent for assistance. The process is simple and effective; the traveler will simply click a link in the schedule change notification email to accept the change. Travelers can confirm and approve trips via email, blackberry or any mobile device capable of email access.

This feature empowers travelers to accept the new flights offered by the airlines without having to call an agent to verify the flight schedule change.


Improved Hotel Program

Expedia Special Rates (ESRs) are now more flexible with the elimination of the Expedia $25 cancellation fee on ESR bookings. In addition, credit cards will not be charged until the morning of check-in. (NOTE: hotel cancellation fees will still apply.)


Improved Agent-Productivity Tools

There's more good news for travelers in the winter 2007 release; we've launched some great new time-saving enhancements within our proprietary agent tools. Your agents will be able to access traveler call history more quickly and enjoy streamlined workflow applications-all of which leads to assisting travelers faster than ever before.
